Privacy

This notice explains the handling of personal information in connection with wondergadgetjlt.online. The controller is Wondergadgetjlt Research Ltd, company number 14837261, at 24 Westgate Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 1PA, United Kingdom. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions.

Browsing the website

The site’s own code does not include analytics, advertising trackers, third-party embeds or external font services. Hosting infrastructure may process connection information such as IP address, requested page, browser information and request time to deliver pages, maintain security and diagnose faults. Where personal data are processed for those purposes, the basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning publication.

Images, stylesheets and scripts are requested from this website. Following an external source link takes you to another organisation’s service, which has its own privacy practices. Your browser may disclose connection and referral information when you follow that link.

The field-note tool

Entries in the contact tool are processed in your browser. The tool has no message-sending endpoint and does not save entries to localStorage, cookies or our servers. It creates a preview, can copy text to your clipboard after your request and can generate a text download. Browser autofill, clipboard history, device backups and downloaded files are controlled by your own device and software.

Closing or reloading the page may remove the current text, although browsers can restore form values. If you use a shared device, clear your entries and handle clipboard contents and downloaded files carefully.

Correspondence you choose to send

If you email us, we receive the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, message and technical email headers. We use it to answer questions, assess corrections and maintain an appropriate editorial record. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in managing correspondence and the accuracy of our publication, or compliance with a legal obligation where applicable.

Please do not send sensitive personal information, confidential material or precise locations of vulnerable sites. We do not sell correspondence or use it for unsolicited marketing.

Recipients and retention

Hosting and email providers may process information on our behalf. Information may also be disclosed where necessary to comply with law or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. If a provider processes personal data outside the United Kingdom, applicable transfer requirements must be addressed through an appropriate legal mechanism.

We retain correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed for its purpose. Routine enquiries are reviewed for deletion within 12 months after resolution. Information supporting a published correction, legal obligation or ongoing dispute may be retained longer where necessary. Technical logs should be limited to the operational and security period required by the hosting service.

Your rights

Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict processing of your information, object to processing based on legitimate interests and receive certain information in a portable form. These rights are not absolute. We may need proportionate information to verify a request and normally respond within one month under UK data-protection rules.

You may raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office or another competent supervisory authority. Contacting us first may help resolve a concern, but is not a condition of making a complaint.

Cookies and changes

See the Cookies page for details of the site’s own storage behaviour and browser controls. We will revise this notice if our processing changes. No online service can promise absolute security; avoid sending information you would not want processed through ordinary email.
